Union High School announces Class of 2026 Homecoming Court

LA PORTE CITY – Union High School recently announced the Class of 2026 Homecoming Court.
Queen candidates this year include Reagan Glenn, Lauren Frush, Alivia Keegan, and Emily Anton. King candidates include Kolton O’Connor, Levi Hadachek, Luke Winkelpleck, and Maddux DeWinter.
The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned on Friday, Sept. 19, as the finale to the inaugural districtwide Homecoming pep rally set for at 1 p.m. in the high school main gymnasium.
Also on Friday, the Union Knights cross country team is undertaking the annual HOCO Run from Dysart to La Porte City with the game ball. Proceeds from this year’s run are dedicated to supporting future leaders by way of the Union Class of 2025 Memorial Scholarship.
“This scholarship is in loving memory of the three young students in this class that passed away throughout their years of high school,” coaches stated in the run’s flyer. The scholarship was established in memory of the late Bradyn Frisbie (2007-2021), Kate Craft (2007-2023), and Gavin Rohrbach (2007-2024).

The undefeated Knights (3-0) are scheduled to take on Aplington-Parkersburg (1-2) in Class 1A District 4 gridiron action on Friday beginning at 7 p.m. at Union Stadium.
The Homecoming Dance is scheduled for Saturday.
