TRAER – The annual Traer Chamber of Commerce Halloween Costume Contest took place on Friday, Oct. 31, in the downtown Memorial Building and featured 90 youngsters ranging in age from babies in arms to middle schoolers (11-12 years). From a tiny Hulk Hogan to a Brooks & Dunn duo to a hilarious shrunken head mad scientist (who seemed to enjoy hamming it up with all the blow-up characters including The Grinch), participants’ costumes ran the gamut and did not disappoint. Following the contest, trick-or-treating along Second Street at participating businesses took place with one of the most popular stops being The Junkyard Bar which was passing out free soft serve ice cream. Coach Andy Reid sure seemed to like it! (see final photo)
