Clutier Auxiliary held sewing day Sept. 1

CLUTIER – The Hora-Machacek Unit 453 of Clutier met on Sept. 1, starting at 9 a.m. to sew and cut plastic bags.

A total of eight lap quilts were put together during the morning. Those present helping were Deb Kupka, Collette Wiebbecke, Denise Selken, Sandy Clayton, Margaret and Julia Babinat. Linda Dvorak, Diane Caloud, and Brenda Hong came later in the morning. A potluck lunch was held at noon and enjoyed by all.

Deb Kupka, Vice-President, called the meeting to order at 1 p.m. There were six members present. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as corrected. The Treasurer’s report was given and approved. Diane Caloud gave a report on the Third District Workshop she attended. Obligations will be paid to the state, district and county. Discussion was held on Girls State and sharing with Traer. Diane will talk with Traer’s President Donna Kersten.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:55 p.m. The next meeting will be Oct. 6 with sewing starting at 9 a.m. Potluck lunch at noon followed by the meeting.
