Rose L. Parizek, 95

Rose L. Parizek, 95, of Clutier, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Carrington Place of Toledo under the care of Mercy Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in rural Clutier. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

Rose was born on October 15, 1918 in rural Clutier, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis and Emma (Chizek) Kuchynka.

On August 30, 1938, she was united in marriage to Leonard Parizek at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clutier. Rose was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Society and KD Lodge. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking, and flowers.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Leonard in 1990; her children, David, Dianne, Donald and Douglas Parizek; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; a daughter-in-law, Linda Parizek; three sisters, Agnes, Anna, and Julia; and a brother in infancy.

Survivors include her children, Dennis Parizek Sr. of Chelsea, Donna Klettke of Wheatland, MO, Damian Parizek of Milan, IL, Daniel (Joleen) Parizek of Tama, Duane (Michelle) Parizek of Clutier, and Debora (Robert) Kern of Toledo; two daughters-in-law, Patty Parizek of Vining, and Laura Lee Parizek of Renton, WA; nineteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established.
