Tractor Sunday July 24 at Church of Promise

Church of Promise enjoyed their first Tractor Sunday last year and wants to extend an invitation to all for this year’s event to be held Sunday, July 24th. The public is welcome to join in worship at 9:00, with the tractor activities beginning at 10:00. Join in the activities as your schedule allows, whether you own a tractor to share in the “games” or just want to come and watch.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a tractor, whether big or small..a farm tractor, a toy tractor, lawn tractor, ‘crafted’ tractor, edible ‘tractor’, or even a picture of a tractor. We would love to see kids’ colored pictures of tractors. Bring ANY sort of tractor for the “contest” that begins at 10:00. Be creativethere will be prizes!

The “parade of tractors” will be followed by activities for the kids and tractor “games.” Included in the fun are games such as the blindfolded driver, backing a wagon, the s-l-o-w ride, and the barrel roll..and more. At noon there will be a hot dog roast (table service, drink, hot dogs and fixings provided) with a potluck of side dishes. Bring your lawn chair. The attire will be country casual.

Church of Promise is located just west of highway 21 on D-65 in rural Buckingham. There is no cost to participate. If you have questions, you may call Linda at 478-2174.
