A couple things have been on my mind even though they are old, as news goes.

1. Congratulations to the Tama-Grundy Publishing/Times-Republican newspaper staff on the accolades from your peers concerning the professionalism with which you all carry out your responsibilities as journalists. It is a tough and often thankless calling these days but one on which the nation was built and this country still depends though many would seem to deny it. It is easy to find fault but Traer is a better place because of you and the presence of the North Tama Telegraph.

2. Congratulations to the North Tama County Community School District and the past and present School Board members and staff who so ably planned the new addition to the high school. There is lots of light and flexibility of use and an inviting atmosphere. We encountered several students who, like us, were very pleased with their new school.
