Dysart Chamber Community Connections

Nicole Taylor.

March always feels like a turning point.

Even if the weather hasn’t quite caught up yet, you can start to sense the shift. The days get a little longer, people begin talking about spring projects, and local organizations start putting plans into motion for the months ahead. What might seem like a quiet time of year on the surface is actually one of the busiest planning seasons for many community groups.

Recently, we held our annual Chamber meeting, which gave us an opportunity to reflect on the past year and share what’s ahead for 2026. It’s always encouraging to see so many people who care about our community gathered in one room. Local business owners, volunteers, city leaders, and residents all bring something different to the table, but the goal is the same. We all want to see Dysart continue to grow and thrive.

Because there are so many groups planning activities throughout the year, communication becomes incredibly important. One of the tools that helps keep everyone connected is the Dysart Community Calendar.

The community calendar serves as a central place where organizations can share their events, meetings, and fundraisers. It allows residents to easily see what’s happening in town, but it also helps organizations coordinate with one another. When events accidentally land on the same date, it can make it difficult for both to succeed. By checking the calendar before finalizing a date, groups can help avoid scheduling conflicts and support each other’s efforts.

If you’ve never visited the calendar, I encourage you to take a look. You can find it anytime at calendarwiz.com/discoverdysart. It’s a great way to stay informed about what’s happening throughout the year.

If your organization is planning something, you can also submit an event directly on the site by clicking the “Suggest Event” button in the upper left corner. Even tentative dates are helpful, especially during the early planning stages.

Another helpful resource for learning about what’s happening in Dysart is the Chamber’s website. Our website, dysartchamber.org, is a wealth of information about local businesses, upcoming events, community initiatives, and ways to get involved. Whether you’re looking for a local service, checking on event details, or learning more about the Chamber’s work, it’s a great place to start.

Looking ahead, the Chamber is already working on several events that many people look forward to each year. One of the first big events of the summer is Maker’s Market on Main on June 6. The event highlights talented makers, small businesses, and local creativity while bringing people downtown to shop, explore, and connect with our community.

Following that, the Chamber will host the 24th Annual Dysart Car Show on July 17. This event continues to draw car enthusiasts and visitors to town each summer and has become a longtime favorite in the community. It’s also a great example of what dedicated volunteers can accomplish when they come together to support a shared goal. Every dollar raised from the event goes back into the community to support local organizations.

Events like these do more than provide a fun day. They create opportunities for small businesses, showcase talented vendors, and bring visitors into town who may be discovering Dysart for the first time. That kind of activity helps build momentum that benefits the entire community.

The Chamber’s work is supported by business memberships, family memberships, sponsorships, and volunteers who believe in the value of a strong local economy and an active community. Whether someone attends an event, supports a local business, volunteers their time, or simply helps spread the word, every bit of involvement makes a difference.

As we move into spring, you’ll begin seeing more activity, more events, and more opportunities to gather together as a community.

And if you’re wondering what’s happening next in Dysart, the community calendar and the Chamber website are both great places to start!
