NICL to increase ticket price for conference high school athletic events
Union, G-R among schools to increase from $5 to $7

The North Iowa Cedar League (NICL) has announced an adjustment to ticket prices for high school athletic events, effective at the start of the 2024-25 school year. Beginning with the upcoming season, ticket prices will increase from $5 to $7 for adults and from $5 to $7 for students for all high school athletic events across the conference.
This decision comes after a careful review of the costs associated with hosting high school sports competitions, including expenses related to equipment, facility maintenance, officiating, and security. The increase in ticket prices is intended to help NICL member schools better manage these rising costs while continuing to provide high-quality athletic experiences for students and fans alike.
While the ticket prices for high school events are being adjusted, the NICL has decided to maintain the current $3 admission fee for all junior high athletic events. This decision reflects the conference’s commitment to making sports accessible to families and encouraging younger students to participate in and attend these events.
We understand that raising ticket prices is a significant change, but it is a necessary step to ensure that we can continue offering our student-athletes the best possible opportunities. The additional revenue will allow us to maintain and improve our facilities, support our officials, and keep our programs running smoothly.
