DYSART – Dysart-Geneseo Elementary fourth-grader Gage Torres was recently announced as the D-G winner of the Tama Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual Stewardship Week poster contest which celebrated the theme ‘One Water.’ Torres was awarded a $10 prize. His poster is currently on display at the Tama SWCD office in Toledo. As part of Stewardship Week (April 30-May 7), Tama SWCD also distributed white pine seedlings to sixth graders in six school districts serving Tama County and hosted the annual fifth grade outdoor classroom at Union Grove Lake near Gladbrook.
