TRAER – Tama County SKIP (Supporting Kids in Prevention), Tama County Public Health & Home Care, and ISU Extension and Outreach collaborated with the Traer Theatre to provide an evening out for families on April 23. Families were able to attend the movie and receive admission, small popcorn, and a drink for free. Ninety-nine people attended this event as part of Child Abuse Prevention Awareness month. Our goal was to provide a positive place for families to do something together as a family. Following the Traer event, the second free movie night took place on April 30 at the Wieting Theatre in Toledo; the third took place May 1 at the Gladbrook Theater with a showing of Snow White.
