DYSART – On Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, newly-elected Dysart City Councilor Lydia Goken along with incumbent councilors Jenn Alpers and Steven Stoner all took the oath of office as administered by Mayor Tim Glenn. The council had three At-Large seats on the ballot as part of the Nov. 4, 2025 city-school election; six candidates filed paperwork, including Alpers, Goken, Stoner, Richard A. Griffin, Ken Midyett, and Brian Sparks. Goken, 28, is the youngest member of the council and will begin serving in January 2026. She replaces Derek Neegaard who chose not to run for reelection. During the meeting on Wednesday, Neegard commented on his departure: “I just want to thank everybody. (The) last four years have been great. I appreciate it. Doing everything we’ve done and I think the City’s headed in the right direction [with] the leadership group – so just keep it up. Pleasure working with you all.” The Dysart City Council also includes Mayor Pro Tem Mary Wankowicz and Councilor Stacey Dabney.
