John and Pam Thiele of Dysart are pleased to announce the birth of their first two grandchildren.

They went from 0 to 2 in just six days!

Joe and Doris Thiele of Missoula, Montana became the parents of a baby boy at 8:01 a.m. on December 27, 2010. August Leo Thiele was nine pounds, one ounce and was 21 1/2 inches long.

Jennifer and Luke Barnum then gave birth to the first baby of the New Year at the Fort Leonard Wood military base in Missouri. Landon Jonathan Barnum was born on January 2, 2011 at 4:17 a.m. He weighed eight pounds, seven ounces and measured 20 inches long.

The boys are welcomed into the family by Aunt Laura Thiele of Ames and Great Grandmothers Maxine McKenna and Nancy Thiele, both of Dysart. Great Grandfathers Harold McKenna and Leo Thiele are watching over them from Heaven.

The cousins are planning to meet each other this summer when both families will travel home to Iowa to greet the McKenna and Thiele families and friends.
