It came down to the final inning, but a late rally by Jesup ended the North Tama softball season with a 7-6 victory in Class 2A Region 5 action last Wednesday evening in Traer.

The Redhawks scored three runs in the top of the seventh to secure a 6-3 lead, but a four-run inning for Jesup sealed the deal in the walk-off win.

Madison Howard pitched a solid game, striking out nine, and incoming freshman Tessa Dvorak led the team with two critical RBI.
