The Union girls basketball team entered this week 1-2 after notching a non-conference 59-17 win at home on Monday, Dec. 1, over Don Bosco. Freshman Paige Pipho scored a game-high 12 points off the bench to lead the Knights, while sophomores Reese Anderson and Chloe Sadler (off the bench) tallied eight points apiece. Senior Reagan Glenn racked up five rebounds to lead the Knights defense. Union sandwiched the win between a pre-Thanksgiving 67-37 loss to conference foe Grundy Center at home on Tuesday, Nov. 25, and a 41-29 conference loss to Wapsie Valley on the road on Friday, Dec. 5.

The Knights boys team entered this week 1-1 after defeating 68-53 Don Boco on Dec. 1, before dropping 64-55 to Wapsie Valley on Dec. 5.

Both Knights teams were scheduled to play non-conference South Tama this past Monday, Dec. 8, at home followed by a pair of conference games – AGWSR on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at home and Sumner-Fredericksburg on Thursday, Dec. 11, in Sumner. The Tuesday game against AGWSR was canceled due to the impending blizzard set for later that evening.
